Jamie Kavanagh, aka Kavsrave, first started DJ'ing at the ripe old age of thirteen with his schoolfriends Christian Sibthorpe and Pete O'Grady, who themselves have gone on to find success as A1 Bassline and Joy Orbison respectively, another Schoolfriend, Howard Newman used to MC with them, playing their beloved Drum and Bass, Howard is now being touted for the top as Tek-one.
22 year old Jamie, who hails form "the home of Dubstep", Croydon, was
very orchestral in the track of the year,Hyph Mngo, by Joy Orbison, not
only was it recorded in his studio, but he co-produced, engineered,
mixed down the track(as well as other Joy tracks), he also came up with
the Mngo part of title.
Already
getting attention on national radio, with the support of the likes of
Sinden and Mary Ann Hobbs and collaborations with A1 Bassline among
others 2010 looks like being a big year for Kavsrave, with his unique
blend of music coming from his influence from Drum and Bass,Hip Hop,
Dubstep and Garage.
