'Kid Blue sways between house, breaks and techno in an intelligent and considered way... He gives the crowd exactly what is needed to satiate their expectation of the night' DJ Magazine

Kid Blue (aka Rory Natkiel) is undoubtedly one of the most consistent DJ/producers to have emerged from the UK in the past ten years. Cutting his teeth as resident and promoter at the legendary Technique night he started back in 2001 in Leeds, he played alongside many of the biggest names in dance music - Richie Hawtin, Derrick May, Carl Craig, Plump DJs, Miss Kitten, Magda, Richard Dorfmeister and Adam Freeland amongst many others. The open minded, genre mashing musical philosophy that Technique pioneered made it a huge success, rated as the number one club in the country by Mixmag and gaining a cult following both in the UK and internationally. Kid Blue was at the forefront of this, mixing up house, techno, breaks and electro to appreciative crowds week in, week out.

He made the switch to London in 2006 and immediately began working for seminal club night Chew The Fat!, becoming monthly resident at their nights at The End and quickly making a name for himself as a DJ to watch in the capital. At the same time he began releasing his own productions, with tracks such as ‘Nothing To Lose’ on Meat Katie’s Lot49 label, ‘Hairy Sambuca’ on Fat! Records and his remix of Digitalis’ ‘The Ride’ on Sinister Records establishing him as a producer of some considerable talent. As time progressed the Kid’s influence could be seen as the Chew The Fat! musical style changed, to include more house and techno styles in the main room at The End, and at Chew The Fat! events across Europe and beyond.

Fast forward to 2008 and Kid Blue is very much in demand, his pioneering fusion of techno, electro and tech-house making him one of the most versatile DJs on the circuit, able to build a set perfectly for any crowd, anywhere. He has been a resident at We Love... at Space in Ibiza for the summer of 2008, rocked The End every month, played across Europe and has tours of the US and Australia scheduled for the second half of the year.

He has also been busy in the studio, releasing the ‘Way Back/Ultimate Orange EP’ on Fat! Records in July 2008, a stunning remix of Elite Force’s classic ‘Vapour Trail’ on U&A Recordings, and is currently working on a new collaboration with Meat Katie for a forthcoming EP on Lot49. The first track from the EP, ‘Indian Queens’, a building, trippy  acid drenched house groove, can be heard at his myspace site www.myspace.com/kid_blue. With several singles due for release stretching into 2009, there’s plenty more to come from this Kid.
