Then in 2000 he met up with Dave Taylor and started working on various projects together, the most successful of which was to become the now renowned Switch. They released various singles and did high profile remixes for Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx and Busta Rhymes. He then went on to form the Speaker Junk project with Herve (another long time friend and production partner) and they are continuing to develop this project together with singles and remixes which have been followed by the success of his own solo e.p on Dubsided, Organ Grinder.
Having spent the past 5 years forging a new sound in house working alongside the likes of Dave Taylor (Switch), Herve, Machines Don’t Care, Chris Belsey (Little Bo Tweak) and Jesse Rose as Izit, Trevor is now focusing on a compilation album of his best production up till now. Coming out on Music Response it promises to be a journey through the sound that has been such an influence on a lot of the nu school of producers out there today. From the deeper style of his Lill Bo Tweak projects through to the Speaker Junk sound and his own unique style of House, it will keep your ears to the floor.
New this year Trevor re-releases the Dubsided classic ‘Organ Grinder’ on Herve’s Cheap Thrills label in July 09 with remixes from Herve himself as The Count of Monte Crystal, Dub Frequency, Black Noize and Green Money. Exciting new material and projects are forthcoming with long time friend and production partner Joshua (HERVE) Harvey with a new Speaker Junk 12” released on Cheap Thrills in the Summer of 09.
After the success of his recent remix for Don Diablo and The Band Bent, Trevor is in the studio working alongside some hot producers and vocalists/mc’s on an Album Project set to be finished later this year. Last but by no means least is the recent 12” he has out on Loungin recordings, getting big support from true house lovers, a selection of the finest house music from Chicago to Detroit via London, it’s all here!
